Leathercraft - Made in North Carolina

COMFORTABLE * BEAUTIFUL * LIVABLE

Our Story Is Told Through Craftsmanship

Each piece of Leathercraft seating is made by hand, one at a time, using only the finest ingredients. Our skilled artisans share a common passion for creating heirloom quality seating by implementing time-honored construction methods that pay tribute to our three founding principles; beauty, comfort and performance.

Our craftspeople are masters at creating seating that honors the medium while respecting the road ahead for each piece.

Performance and comfort are never compromised.

Why Leathercraft is different:
  • 100 leathers, 100 fabrics, and dozens of wood stains to choose from!

  • Only top grain leather (the natural top surface of the hide with a denser cell structure) is used, creating the leather's tensile strength.

  • All pieces are 100% completely covered in leather, no leather-match, ever

  • Constructed with a solid maple hardwood frame

  • All Leathercraft leather patterms are protected by a clear top coat, which seals the surface, or a "scotchguard type" product is applied that penetrates the hide and encapsulates the leather fibers.

  • All structural frame components utilizes northern maple which is kiln dried to reduce expansion and contraction.

  • All joints are corner-blocked, double-doweled, and fastened with wood screws.

  • 9" Steel coil springs are used and supported by crossed steel webbing for unsurpassed comfort and a luxury sit experience.

  • Eight-way hand tied springs are used for unsurpassed support.

  • Cushions are 2.0 lb./cu.ft. density or higher pure polyurethane which encapsulates coil springs. Remember, the higher the density of the polyurethane, the longer the life of the cushion.

  • Down, feather and fiber cushions are also available, affording a deep, plush, "sit-in" experience.

  • Built by North Carolina's most skilled craftsmen

  • Each piece may be custom fit, with any length, depth, and height you need!

Leather Craftsmanship

What is perfect leather? We believe, one that shows the genuine character of the leather hide. Scratches, scars, insect bites, neck wrinkles and brands, verify authenticity. We feel leather should look like leather, not the vinyl table cloth at home when you were growing up.

The real art is in the placement. Selecting the area of the hide that each part of your furniture will be cut from is critical. It takes human hands to precisely place the pattern to maximize the hides potential. This creates a truly unique piece of furniture that presents nature’s signature. When it comes to judging character, we’ll select a person over a computer driven cutting machine that values wasted material over art.

Every piece of Leathercraft furniture is constructed from the highest grade of materials currently available. We engineer each piece to meet your expectations and warrant each piece to do so.

By The Inch

Change the length, depth, height, and more on every single piece of Leathercraft furniture. This is truly personalized furniture, built just for you. Our “By the Inch” program allows you to order furniture pieces to meet your exact length specifications. If you need to change one of our existing frames just ask one of our consultants to inquire about customizing your style or frame preference.

Nothing Is Overlooked

Our exposed wood surfaces are carefully shaped, carved and integrated into each frame. Each is hand sanded, stained and hand rubbed to accentuate the natural grain. Three successive coats of lacquer seal the surface and add a lustrous sheen. Our exacting 19-step finishing process results in a remarkably durable surface.

Guaranteed For Life

Leathercraft guarantees the frame, seat spring, and workmanship for the life of the piece to its original purchaser.
